I surround myself with things that are beautiful and meaningful. I find some at flea markets and yard sales, and others are objects from my childhood. Depending on the collection, I might respond to the objects’ form or function or my memory of them, or the ways that they might serve as a metaphor in my work. These objects communicate something about who I am and what I think about.
